Heavy rain pounded parts of the Treasure Valley Wednesday evening, prompting a flash flood advisory for northeast Ada County. The rainstorm caused street flooding and power outages throughout the Valley.

Idaho Power reported six power outages in the Caldwell, Nampa, Meridian, Eagle and Boise areas leaving thousands without power.
The Idaho Transportation Department warned drivers of standing water on Interstate 84 between Meridian Road and Overland Road bringing traffic to a crawl.

Four flights into Boise were diverted to other airports:

- United 6439 from Denver was diverted to Twin Falls
- Delta 4509 from SLC was diverted to Twin Falls
- Southwest 9004 from Spokane was diverted to Las Vegas
- Southwest 898 from Las Vegas was diverted to Spokane
An airport spokesman says those flights will land elsewhere, refuel, and return to Boise once the weather clears.
The Weather Service reports the airport got between half an inch and an inch of rain during the storm.
