Sean Briggs with the Boise Airport says A small twin-engine airplane crashed at the north end of the Boise Airport’s air field around 4:20 p.m. Monday, injuring the pilot and severely damaging the plane.

The crash happened near Allscott Aviation, according to Ada County Dispatch.The pilot was the only person in the plane and was taken to the hospital, his condition is not known. Officials say the plane was not a commercial flight, but other details were not immediately available. Briggs says that the runways were closed for 20 minutes following the crash.
