Presidential Gridlock
When President Obama visited the Treasure Valley Wednesday, thousands of Idahoan’s got stopped in traffic.
While Air force one was landing, traffic near bridges and overpasses were stopped, When the Presidential motorcade made its way from the airport to downtown Boise, the freeway was blocked and side streets were shut down.
State police, Boise police and Ada County sheriff’s worked with Secret Service to clear the path for the Presidential Motorcade.
Officials say local cost has not been calculated yet, but hundreds of public employees took part in keeping The President safe. Col. Tim Marsano with the Idaho Guard said the President’s 4 hour visit went off without any problems.
