Petition To Rehear Gay Marriage Ban Denied

A three-judge panel of the Ninth Circuit Court Appeals have denied Idaho Governor Butch Otter's petition for a rehearing of the gay marriage ban.
The request was to have a rehearing “en banc” by all eleven judges on the ban of gay marriage.
A judge requested a vote on whether they should rehear the matter, but it did not get a majority in favor. The law calls to uphold the ban, the petition would have to be taken to the U.S. Supreme Court.
