The need continues, here's what you can do to help others here in the Treasure Valley.  Day 3 started off with Donny sharing his story of recovery.  He suffered from alcoholism and moved here from California to join the New Life Program.  The Navy Veteran credits the staff with inspiring him through God to change his life.  He explained how your donations help guests begin the road to recovery.

Jean Lockhart spoke and told us about the children's program at both the Valley Home for Women and Children and City Light.  She detailed how kids are encouraged to look at college or trade schools beginning in the fifth grade.

Alan L. Morton, attorney at law, reported on the pending Supreme Court decisions.  He expressed his support for the rescue mission's drug rehabilitation program.  Tea Party Bob looked at who will be the next Ada County Sheriff.

Miller's Summer Mission will benefit the Valley Women's & Children's Shelter (Boise Rescue Mission Ministries). Some needed items are:

  • sunscreen
  • razors
  • new underwear
  • other summer essentials
  • cash will be accepted on-site
