A memorial service for the slain K9 officer, Jardo, is scheduled for 3 p.m. on Tuesday, November 22nd at the Taco Bell Arena in Boise, ID.

Jardo, a 6-year-old Belgian Malinois proudly served the Boise police and went above and beyond in the line of duty.

Despite surviving a bullet wound during crossfire, Jardo died almost a week later after succumbing to injuries which later caused cardiac arrest. Jardo's death came as a surprise to most, who saw him walking around the police vigil the night prior, and who had viewed videos of Jardo playing fetch just a few days after his life-saving surgery.
