Marie Osmond, Dave Archuleta and others Perform in Nampa

Marie Osmond, David Archuleta, Alex Boyé and the Nashville Tribute Band performed before two full audiences Saturday afternoon and evening.   The free, non-denominational musical celebration, “Redeemer,” was hosted by Christian Outreach Multimedia Events at the Ford Idaho Center, Indoor Arena and emceed by Kevin Miller from 580 KIDO.

In its second year, the concerts drew a combined audience of over 17,000 and more than 20,000 pounds of food was collected to be distributed to area Idaho food banks.

“I am truly honored to be in Nampa again to inspire, through music, all Christian faiths to feel the love and joy that comes from following Jesus Christ,” said Marie Osmond. “I extend my appreciation to Neal Moore and his lovely wife for their tireless efforts at the Nazarene Care House in helping us not only feed our spirits through music but in organizing the food drive to feed our friends, neighbors and family who are in need.”

Multiple Christian faiths across the Treasure Valley participated in organizing, publicizing and promoting the concert and food drive.

“It was heartwarming to see so many faiths coming together unified in their love for Jesus Christ,” said Leiann Snyder, Care House volunteer. “I have learned much from this experience, and have a passion for seeing people from all walks of life coming together for the common good.”

In addition to these celebrated performers, the program featured an interfaith choir comprised of Treasure Valley youth and young adults who represent many area faith groups. The 60 member choir shared the stage with “Redeemer” performers.

Immediately following the performances, 1000’s of attendees stood in long lines for a chance to greet and snap a photo with the star studded lineup.

“It was a once in a lifetime opportunity,” said concert attendee, Mike Anderson of Nampa. “The lines were long but the wait was well worth it.  We all wanted to meet the performers.”
