Inversion much?
INversion means it’s a good idea to stay indoors and not take in the ick. Even if the air quality’s low, our activity level can be high with all of the free, family-friendly stuff going on this week.
Need more ideas? Don’t forget to check out the Appetite for Idaho Facebook page, with ideas on what to do, where to eat, and where to go.

Have a FUN week,

Winter Wellness Event
Sat., Jan. 24, 12-5 p.m.
Boise Co-op 888 W. Fort St., Boise
We’re right smack in the middle of inversion season, so it’s the perfect time for a free, family-friendly Winter Wellness Event over at the Boise CoOp, from 12-5. There’ll be demos and sampling all over the store of everything from raw foods to skin care to help you keep those New Year’s resolutions or maintain your already healthy lifestyle. I talked to my new friend Christa at the CoOp, and she says there will be twice as many giveaways for members as there was last year. $500 REI gift certificates, and even a cruiser bike. They’ll also be sampling out smoothies and chocolate, and Christa said this is a good opportunity to “get to know your goji berries”.

Hit the Lake Hazel Library at 1:30 for their Saturday Musical Matinee. Just a few years ago, one of my kids told me, “MOM, why didn’t you ever introduce us to the world of musicals?” I guess I didn’t know that as a parent, that was required. (Although my mom made us watch “Sound of Music” repeatedly. Gotta love those von Trapps). Don’t let this happen to you. Go to the Lake Hazel Library and watch “Pirates of Penzance” this weekend. The movie is for all ages, and it’s FREE.
