It’s cold out, and it’s tempting to stay home, snuggle up with a comforter and a mug on the couch and hibernate. Getting out a couple of times a week with the kids (or without), and doing something new and meeting new friends is still good for the soul, though.

The Cathedral of the Rockies on N. 11th in Boise offers the Cathedral Concert Series, presenting the band Chicken Dinner Road. They’re bluegrass/ acoustic with a unique sound that’s a mix of rock and roll, blues, and country. They’ve got six albums out, full of original, heartfelt songs that stem from life experiences. Admission to this concert is by donation.
