Just after 3 on Tuesday afternoon, three homes caught fire near the intersection of Broadway Avenue and 2nd Street in downtown Melba.
The Melba Fire Department says that the blaze was fast-moving and came within 100 yards of TK Oil gas station. Melba Fire Chief John Engle says the homes that burned were unoccupied and no injuries were reported. It's believed the fire sparked in a grassy area before spreading to the structures.
Firefighters from Nampa, Upper Deer Flat, and Kuna assisted Melba Fire Department in fighting the blaze.
