The Famous Idaho Potato Bowl kickoff is set for Thursday, Dec. 22, at 5 p.m. MT/7 p.m. ET. The 20th annual game will be held at Boise State University’s Albertsons Stadium.

The nation’s longest running outdoor cold-weather bowl will feature a Mountain West Conference (MW) versus Mid-American Conference (MAC) matchup for the fourth consecutive year. The MW will be featured for the fourth time with the bowl, while the MAC will participate in the bowl game for the fifth time.

The 2015 bowl game featured an exciting match-up between the University of Akron and Utah State University, ending in a close 23-21 win for the Zips.

“Each year we look forward to an exciting match-up with the Mountain West and MAC,” said Kevin McDonald, Famous Idaho Potato Bowl Executive Director. “With our game being played prior to the holidays, it gives the bowl a great opportunity to create an outstanding game-day experience for our local and traveling fans.”
