Why the Canyon County Commissioners extended their local disaster emergency declaration.  The commissioners voted unanimously at the request of Nampa and Caldwell.  The recent record snowfall and ice temperatures have led to hazardous driving conditions and the potential of flooding.  The declaration will be extended for thirty days or otherwise authorized by the Board of County Commissioners.

The Treasure Valley will be under a Winter Weather Advisory beginning Wednesday morning at 5am.  Read about the details here.
