Boise State’s leading candidate for quarterback, 20 year old sophomore Ryan Finley was arrested early Saturday morning in Boise on charges of resisting or obstructing officers and minor in possession or consumption of alcohol.
According to Police, officers were sent to a home near campus on a noise complaint just before midnight.
Police stopped a car near the home but officers say when they attempted to make contact with the driver, one of passengers allegedly exited the car and ran away, failing to stop when officers identified themselves. A short foot pursuit ensued, and officers soon located Finley, crouched in a nearby backyard.
Officers spoke with Finley, who smelled of alcohol, and took him into custody.
Finley is the likely front-runner to take over as the Broncos' starting quarterback this fall. As usual there is no comment from Coach Harsin or BSU.
