Boise State University will require football fans to pass through metal detectors and have their bags searched before entering the Stadium this season. The university announced the new security measures, which are similar to requirements in many professional sports leagues after the Idaho Legislature passed a law that allows enhanced concealed weapons permit holders to carry concealed weapons on campus. Permit holders are prohibited from carrying weapons into Albertsons Stadium. Boise State is encouraging fans not to bring bags into the stadium. If they do carry bags, the school is encouraging fans to carry a clear tote bag.
