Boise police are investigating reports of a man who was found lying on the Greenbelt west of the 9th Street bridge who appears to be the victim of a beating. The man told officers that two men who he did not know attacked him and broke his cell phone. The men may have been attempting to rob him, although nothing was taken. The suspects were last seen running on the Greenbelt from 9th Street and are described as light skinned adult males. One has a large build, was wearing designer jeans and a light blue shirt with the letters HCO on it, and full sleeve tattoos on both arms. The other man was wearing a grey t-shirt and dark colored shorts.
The victim suffered a laceration to the forehead. He was taken to the hospital for treatment.
