Senior Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia has died today in Texas according to multiple published reports.   Scalia was a guest at the Cibolo Creek Ranch reports mysanantonio.com. The article states that the justice arrived on Friday night and his body was found Saturday when he did not attend breakfast.  The president is currently on the West Coast and hasn't issued an official statement on Scalia's death.

Scalia was appointed to the bench by President Ronald Reagan in 1986.  He was the first Italian American Member of the Supreme Court according to CBSNEWYORK.    Senators Ted Cruz and Mitch McConnell have gone on record stating that the next president should appoint a successor to Scalia.   "The American people‎ should have a voice in the selection of their next Supreme Court Justice. Therefore, this vacancy should not be filled until we have a new president," McConnell said in a statement from CNN.
