The lightning caused series of wildfires that has burned 9,448 acres since it started two weeks ago in the Boise National Forest have been contained, officials announced Sunday.

Crews are now patrolling and mopping up on the Wash Fire. The Grimes fire is also contained, but crews were expected to do some interior burning Sunday to eliminate some unburned fuels inside the fire line.

All voluntary evacuation notices have been lifted, but some area closures remain in effect.
